Peter specialises in commercial and residential property investment acquisitions and disposals, particularly for existing and future clients in need of property management assistance. Peter oversees the Management department and advises on Asset Management issues for clients' property portfolios.
Peter has been part of the Miller brand since 1987 and is the remaining founding Partner of Miller Commercial's independence, gained in the management buy-out effective 1st October 1994.
In his spare time, Peter enjoys various sports, on and off the water, and gardening.
Mike has been in the profession for 30 years and has been with Miller Commercial since 1995.
He is a Chartered Surveyor, RICS Registered Valuer and Member of the Institute of Arbitrators. He oversees the firm's agency activities and provides strategic advice to key clients. He also acts in an advisory capacity to our valuation and lease consultancy teams.
He enjoys a challenge and has likes to provide clients with innovative solutions. Outside of work the challenge normally involves a bicycle or boat.
Brian is a Partner and a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors as well as a member of the Institute of Revenues, Rating and Valuation. He joined Miller Commercial in April 2003 but entered the profession in 1973, and over the intervening years he has cultivated an enormous amount of experience gained in London, Nottingham, Devon and Cornwall. He specialises in the assembly, acquisition and disposal of development sites, in addition to undertaking valuation, rent review and lease renewal work.
Brian is responsible for the graduate training programme for the company and has helped more than a dozen graduates achieve Chartered status in the last 15 years.
Terry has been involved in the property profession for over 30 years. He joined Miller & Co in the late 1960s, he was a partner within this organisation and a director of Miller Countrywide Commercial prior to becoming a partner in Miller Commercial following a management buyout in 1994. In 2009 Terry's position changed to consultant, specialising in the leisure sector of the commercial property market and looking after certain requirements of specific clients.
Nick’s experience and expertise in both the national and international property management sectors are invaluable to our ever increasing institutional and high net worth clients. That experience includes managing the prestigious Berkeley Square estate in Mayfair owned by the Abu Dhabi Royal Family. Nick has recently been involved in the significant organic growth of the firm, geographically pushing the firm Eastwards to cover the SW. This has included securing significant instructions to manage a major SW industrial portfolio and the management of an office scheme in Somerset.
A keen surfer and Francophile Nick can often be found on his surfboard off the beaches of Newquay or drinking red wine with friends in the heart of Gascony.
Mark is a management accounts expert and is responsible for the general day-to-day administration of the finances involved in property management.
Paul has extensive knowledge of the licensed & hospitality trade throughout the South West, having worked for national pub companies and independent licensees for more than 12 years. He has also substantial experience in the residential sector and now specialises in the leisure market including the self-catering and holiday cottage complex markets, together with the licensed sector.
Chris's background in the construction industry means he's extremely well placed to offer what is a fairly unique property management service to those clients who prefer to have a third party managing and overseeing the contractor relationship with regard to property maintenance, refurbishments, repairs, etc. Having started his career as a marine engineer in the Royal Navy, Chris is a stickler for detail, something which our clients really appreciate and acknowledge.
Position:Senior Property Manager
With over 25 years of senior property and project management experience Paul provides professional property management solutions to a mixed portfolio. Taking pride in providing a client-centred approach, which reflects particular circumstances and preferences, Paul tailors services to meet individual expectations and requirements across our diverse client base. Drawing on his strategic, operational and commercial experience Paul ensures first-rate quality services and positive impact which maximises profitability and the return from clients’ property assets.
Paul’s sporting ‘career’ may have become more of a spectator game, for rugby and pilot-gig rowing, but he now enjoys actively reminiscing. Down-time now is often enjoyed walking the coastal path, cycling at a pedestrian pace and spending time with family and friends.
Position:Property Management Administrator
All great teams need high quality support and backup and this is exactly what Tracy provides to our Property Management experts. With her considerable administrative experience in the property sector Tracey ensures that all the administrative and contractual duties relating to both client and tenants are undertaken in an efficient and well organised manner.
Sarah has been with Miller Commercial since 2015 and provides and secretarial and administrative service to the Professional team.
Position:Commercial Agency Surveyor
Thomas has more than ten years of experience in the local property market under his belt, advising clients in both residential sales and lettings as well as in the development and agricultural sectors. He became an Associate Member of the RICS in 2013, gaining a Diploma in Real Estate Agency.
As part of our Commercial Agency Team, Thomas uses his expertise to secure the letting, sale and acquisition of commercial property across the industrial, office and retail sectors.
Trudy has been with Miller Commercial since 2013 and provides a secretarial and administrative support service to the Business Transfer team.
Position:Agency Support Assistant
Jenna provides essential support to the Commercial Agency team, from secretarial and administrative responsibilities to conducting viewings. She has previously worked for energy-saving and renewable energy organisations here in Cornwall as well as property companies in London and the USA.
Jenna is fluent in French and Spanish and enjoys being outdoors, especially on the water.
Beverly is one of our Business Transfer experts, dealing with the sale of going concerns including guest houses, public houses and cafes.
She has an extensive financial background having been involved in commercial lending for business purchases in the South West for the past 15 years. Whilst Beverly's experience is primarily in the commercial sector, she has also worked with large residential agencies in a management capacity.
Position:Head of Valuation Services
Andrew is our Head of Valuation Services and has been with Miller Commercial since 2007. He provides valuations for loan security, development funding, tax planning, expert witness, asset management and rating. A Registered Valuer under the RICS scheme he has more than 16 years of experience working in the property industry. Andrew has an in depth knowledge of the commercial property sector in Cornwall with a particular specialism in valuing going concerns. In addition to his valuation work Andrew also advises and negotiates on a variety of Rent Review and Lease Renewal matters.
Position:Senior Property Manager
Tim relocated to Cornwall from Essex in 2015, having previously worked in Jones Lang’s Property & Asset Management Team in London. Prior to that he spent over 12 years as Property Operations Manager with Network Rail during which time he managed a commercial property portfolio with a rent roll in excess of £3m per annum.
Tim's role at Miller Commercial involves delivering front end property management services to a diverse range of clients, tenants and properties, from Landlord and Tenant matters to Service Charge budgets.
Position:Head of Accounts
Louise joined Miller Commercial in October 2006, having previously been an Accountant for 15 years with Orbit Housing Association at their Coventry Head Office in the Midlands.
Her position within the company is Head of Accounts and Louise’s main role is processing the company’s payroll and all aspects of the Partnership’s Financial Accounts. She is also an Accounts Manager for our Property Management team and provides a treasury function for our Management clients.
Position:Senior Valuation Surveyor
Susanna graduated in 2004 and undertook her graduate training with King Sturge LLP in Bath. She qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2006 and initially worked as a retail agent before working for the valuation department. More recently Susanna headed up the Commercial Department at Dafydd Hardy Chartered Surveyors in North Wales.
She has recently relocated back to her home county of Cornwall with her young family to join our Professional Team at Miller Commercial, where her role covers carrying out lease renewals, rent reviews and valuation across all types of Commercial Properties across Devon and Cornwall. She is also an RICS Registered Valuer.
June is responsible for the overall operational management of the company. With an extensive background in HR and operations, she is dedicated to improving the smooth running and efficiency of the business.
An accomplished Manager, June merges her day to day management skills with a strategic perspective and prides herself in maintaining a human touch alongside her business acumen.
Robert graduated from Reading with a BSc in Real Estate in 2016 and has previously spent 5 months in Sri Lanka as an intern at Shakticola Developers, Knight Frank Investment Management, Cording Real Estate and Oxygen Asset Management.
He works in our Commercial Agency department, assisting the team letting and selling empty commercial premises by conducting viewings across the whole of Cornwall, corresponding with landlords, vendors and tenants, and is studying towards his RICS Assessment of Professional Competence which will lead to him becoming a chartered surveyor.
Robert lives on the North coast near Port Isaac and spends his free time rowing, running and surfing.
Position:Head of Commercial Agency
Tom is an experienced Chartered Surveyor and commercial property agent, having trained, qualified and worked in London for 10 years before relocating down to Cornwall with his family. Tom specialises in the sale, purchase, acquisition and disposal of both freehold and leasehold commercial property throughout Cornwall and into the wider south west.
In his spare time, Tom enjoys time on the water with his family, sailing and fishing around the Carrick Roads.
Position:Head of Department
Graham has been involved in the Cornish Property market for circa 20 years and joined Miller Commercial in 2003. He has a wide range of experience in all sectors within Business Transfer, such as Hotels, Guesthouses, Public Houses, Campsites and pretty much anything else as long as it has a set of Trading Accounts.
Graham heads up the Business Transfer team and is responsible for the day to day running plus external promotion and marketing. Graham and his team offer a professional and friendly service to both clients and buyers and have a wide range of contacts to ensure a successful transaction.
