Miller Commercial of Truro are bringing to the market Ocean Contemporary, which is located on the busy Church Street, in the centre of the popular harbour resort of Falmouth.  It is being sold off a guide price of £40,000, plus stock at valuation.

This successful, well established gallery and gift shop has been traded by the vendors for approximately 8 years. It enjoys a prominent location on a main retail thoroughfare of Falmouth and benefits from double window frontage.  The modern, well presented  business retails paintings largely supplied by local artists and also sells handmade jewellery.  The lock-up premises offer a sales area of 13.8m by 4.8m (maximum), together with storage and w.c. facilities to the rear.

It is understood that Ocean Contemporary is being made available with the benefit of a new 15 year lease which will commence September 2008, with the remaining terms to be negotiated.

The business trades strongly and is now only coming to the market because of relocation plans. Recent trading figures for the year to

June 2007 show sales of circa £103,000, a G.P. of 76% and a net profit in the region of £25,000.

Gareth Moody, Commercial Surveyor at Miller Commercial reports,

‘This business provides an ideal opportunity to enjoy the lifestyle that the popular resort of Falmouth offers, whilst running a successful gallery’.
