The highly successful retail business was centrally situated and adjacent to the village public house. It offered a comprehensively equipped retail sales area extending to 1,260ft², plus rear storage. Included within the sale was a well-presented 3-bedroom maisonette apartment on the first floor. The business has been acquired by Mr Alan Retallack who grew up and has lived in the village for many years. St Keverne Stores was sold off a freehold guide price of £615,000. The sale price was not disclosed. Richard Gilbert of Miller Commercial’s Business Transfer Dept advises An excellent result was achieved after a short marketing period. It demonstrated the market demand for a strategically located village store that provided a strong income stream from trading, as well as good sized private accommodation’.
