Trevelyan House, Chapel Street, Penzance
An impressive Georgian town house with historical links to the written word has come on the market in West Cornwall. Trevelyan House, a 5-storey Grade II Listed Building on Chapel Street, Penzance is up for sale at a guide price of £525,000. The property, built in about 1750, has had several distinguished owners, including the Cornish shipping magnate Sir Edward Hain. In the 1880s the building was used as the offices for the Cornish Telegraph Newspaper and the Evening Tidings, later amalgamated into the Cornishman Newspaper, whilst the buildings behind housed the printing press
