The current owners acquired the Tremarne Hotel, Mevagissey (ranked among the top 25 hotels in the UK) 6 years ago and have built up the business to such a standard that it has won a clutch of awards, including being named amongst Trip Advisor's "Top Hotels in Britain". More recently, the Tremarne was recognised in the Visit Cornwall Tourism Awards as one of the best small hotels in the County.

The building's refurbishment was overseen by owner Michael Judge who says "we took our time to refurbish the hotel ensuring that every room had an individual look. We're proud of what we have achieved, in terms of both business and product. When we bought the Tremarne it was making a steady profit and under our ownership we have increased this significantly year-on-year, despite the recession. Now, my business partner and myself feel it's time to move on to even bigger and better things".
