The owners of a new espresso coffee house opening in Truro on Friday 3rd February are bringing a taste of the "Capital" to Cornwall. Blend 71, is opening next to the Truro Plaza in Lemon Street, which used to house a sandwich take-away shop.

Cornwall Hospice Care has relocated from River Street, to Back Quay, just off Lemon Plaza, Truro. The newly refurbished shop opened on Monday December 5th and trades on two floors. The 1st floor will include women's formal clothing including evening dresses, wedding outfits, and accessories as well as having a men's section. The ground floor will sell a range of casualwear for adults.

New Bistro With A ‘Fishy Feel’ Replaces Italian Restaurant In Truro
'Amethyst' which is due to open on Friday December 16th, is located at 1-2 New Bridge Street, formerly the Il Gatto Nero Italian Restaurant. The owners of the new business, who also run Wreckers Bistro/Wine Bar at Charlestown, say the menu will be similar and have a seafood slant.

Specialist food producer, Halzephron Herb Farm, moved out of 21 Arwenack Street, Falmouth 3 years ago when the lease was then taken over by 'All About Olives', which ceased trading this summer. In the meantime, Halzephron Herb Farm was taken over by new owners, who invested in improving the product and promoting the brand, changing it from a small cottage industry to a successful gourmet business with retail outlets in St Ives, Truro and Porthleven.
