The sale has just been concluded of Porthpean Golf Club at St Austell. This outstanding, par 67 course, provides 18-holes over 5,474 yards. It stands in approximately 95 acres of parkland and cliff top overlooking the Cornish south coast with St Austell Bay beyond.
There is a 9-bay floodlight driving range together with a smart clubhouse, car parking and greenkeeper’s building and paddock. Planning Consent was also obtained for 8 letting bedrooms in 2008.
The course attracted a great deal of interest and supports the growing trend that Cornwall is becoming increasingly popular as a golfing county.
