Proof that the commercial market is still improving

Our Head of Hotels, Licensed & Leisure Department, Russell Weetch, reports the recent sale of The Deauville Hotel in the centre of Newquay. The 4-storey, 26 guest bedroom hotel stands on Mount Wise, one of the resorts main vehicular thoroughfares and providing excellent views across the town and Newquay Bay towards Trevose Lighthouse. The Deauville Hotel benefited from gas-fired central heating together with both car and coach parking facilities.

The business had traded for many years and enjoyed considerable goodwill within the coaching trade to the resort.

Offers were invited off a guide price of £650,000 although the sale price was not disclosed. The Deauville has been acquired by local hoteliers, Mr & Mrs Roberts, who are looking forward to commencing trading for the 2010 season after a refurbishment campaign.

We are continuing to register applicants seeking guest houses and hotels for this coming summer season, so any hotelier seeking a sale in the short to medium term, please contact our Russell Weetch on 01872 247005 to arrange a confidential appraisal with no obligation.
