We can report the successful completion of sale of the Apple Barrel, which is a long established green grocery business occupying a prominent trading position in the out-of-town centre shopping precinct at Chester Road, Newquay. The shop unit provided a retail sales area of 32.4 sq m together with office space and a cold storage facility.
The business was made available with the residue of an existing 7 year term lease at a current passing rental of £7,600 per annum. The shop, which enjoys a substantial turnover, with an excellent level of profitability, was sold to a local purchaser.
Offers for the leasehold interest were sought off a guide price of £49,950. The sale price was not disclosed.
