We have concluded a letting of premises at Edhen Park, Newham, to the Truro Fencing Club Gold Foundation, which is the charitable arm of Truro's Fencing Club.
The premises, which were being offered at an asking rental of £20,000 per annum, are situated close to Truro's Royal Mail Sorting Office and total 257 sq m (2,767 sq ft), together with parking for up to 17 vehicles. They have been taken by the Foundation under a new 5 year lease for use as a fencing centre.
John Salfield, Head Coach and Performance Programmer for the Foundation stated, "As well as housing the daily training for the Truro Club's flagship performance programme which boasts the Great Britain Olympic coach and 8 Great Britain international athletes with 2012 ambitions, the new venue will be fitted out to host beginners' courses and school fencing clubs. In addition, the building will provide private tuition and a new wheelchair fencing club, together with staging courses, county competitions and approaching a referee courses".
