New Sustainable Wooden Furniture Showroom

Sustainable Furniture is a successful internet based business selling an extensive collection of solid Teak indoor and outdoor furniture.
It was started by Margaret Larson after she was made redundant in 2007, and will be opening its new showroom in the former Country Pine premises on Malpas Road, Truro on September 1st.
The furniture was recently showcased at this year's Cornwall Home Show and Margaret had such a good response she realised a showroom in Cornwall, where people could come and see the furniture, would be good for business. She says "I have furniture stocked in warehouses in three different locations in Cornwall and had reached a point where I needed to consolidate my stock. The showroom on Malpas Road is large enough for my purposes and covers the catchment area for Truro shoppers. We'll be hoping to do a lot of business from here".
Jon Ball negotiated the lease off a guide price of £18,000 per annum. He says "the deal was concluded very quickly. The former tenants moved out on 30th July and the deal with Sustainable Furniture was completed on August 1st. It is quite rare to have a premises of that size in such a prominent location and so close to the city centre".
