Successful Letting of one of Truro's landmarks - albeit it is floating!

the boat 450Miller Commercial has successfully let the historic steamship the PS Compton Castle which is now over 100 years old. The Boat which has been moored alongside Lemon Quay since the mid 1980’s had been allowed to fall into disrepair and has been vacant for many years. The vessel was acquired and restored by local developer Porthia and will be re-fitted and utilised as a nautical themed café selling imported French coffee; “Café Richard”.

Brothers, Danny and Larry Watson have taken on the Lease and are confident that the prominent and busy location will prove to be highly successful. They anticipate opening during the Autumn.

The Krab Pot is situated on Fore Street, the principal pedestrian and vehicular thoroughfare into the attractive North Cornish village of Port Isaac.  Port Isaac requires little introduction as one of the County's former day trip destinations, with many coming to see the back drop to the popular television series Doc Martin, as well as its quaint streets, harbour, gift shops, galleries and eateries such as the Krab Pot.
