New convenience store to open in St Day

The letting has just completed of ground floor retail premises located at 4 Fore Street in the village of St Day near Redruth. The premises, which were formerly occupied by the Co-Op Supermarket Group, offered a net internal area of 2,049 sq ft and were made available by way of a new F.R.I. sub-lease. Offers were invited for an annual rental.

The opportunity was taken up by the proprietor of a number of local convenience stores operating under the Premier Stores banner.

Jon Ball comments “these premises were popular with members of the traditional local village community. The new proprietor saw them as the ideal opportunity to capitalise on a gap in the local market for groceries”.
