South Fistral Beach Café, Newquay

We have recently sold the landmark licensed café/restaurant known as South Fistral Beach Cafe (formerly the Windswept Café), off a leasehold guide price of £160,000.

The contemporary cafe enjoyed an enviable, unique, elevated location on the south side of Fistral Beach with commanding views over Newquay's famous surfing venue and the Atlantic Ocean beyond. The business was accessed by steps below Esplanade Road and the largely wooden structure offered an extremely well appointed dining area providing 45 covers and a well equipped commercial kitchen. Seating numbers were enhanced by a very popular outside veranda hovering above the beach, with tables for a further 25 diners.

The sale was achieved by way of assignment of the existing, 15 year term lease from 2006, on full repairing and insuring terms. Russell Weetch, Head of Business Transfer comments, "The business was able to demonstrate strong trading figures over recent years and had attracted interest from far and wide. The new owners originate from the local area and they intend to build on the strong reputation the cafe/restaurant achieved from Newquay residents and tourists alike".
