Kenwyn Caravan Park, which is located on the northern outskirts of the city of Truro, has been bought by Regency Park Homes of Hertfordshire. The long established site was licensed for 86 residential pitches and stands in just over 5.5 acres. It also included a garage and workshop providing 2,800 sq ft and enjoyed easy access off the B3284.
There was a great deal of interest in the site from both residential developers and park operators. Despite the slowdown in the market last year, enquiries for caravan and mobile home parks remain high and consistent. It is understood that the new owners intend to modernise the site.
Terry Trevarthen reports, "Mobile Home Parks are constantly in demand despite the prevailing economic conditions. Our agency currently has three established park operators looking for sites in Devon & Cornwall with funds available to proceed to purchase".
The agents acted for the Trustees of the John Penhaligon Estate. Kenwyn Caravan Park was marketed off a guide price of £3 million and the sale price was not disclosed.
