The Business

Our client established the business over 30 years ago to provide home delivery of Newspapers and Magazines to some of the most affluent addresses within the area including Feock, Devoran & Restronguet Point. They have a customer base of approx 450 private clients and also deliver to Campsites and Businesses within their target area. The business is currently run from our clients home and as such is fully transferable to alternate premises, indeed, the business can comfortably be run from a standard domestic garage or outbuilding. For logistical reasons the new owners would ideally be based within the Falmouth -Truro- Redruth area, the business may also appeal to an established Newsagent within the above region.

Our clients deliver 364 days of the year and collect their publications from the wholesalers each morning before returning home to sort the rounds. Generally two people can deliver and be back to base by mid morning prior to undertaking the administration duties such as billing clients and preparing for the next days deliveries. There are no restrictions as to the trading area of the business and indeed our clients do minimal advertising or canvassing, despite the number of new housing developments within the catchment area, as such there is obvious scope for growth with a more pro active approach and a stronger presence on social media.

The business has consistently turned over circa £250,000 per year with an average GP% of approx 30%. Accounts will only be made available subject to a meeting with our client in the first instance.
